SMS Programs

SMS programs are becoming an essential element for any organization no matter what type of business is conducted or provided. All Industries now expect any company or service provider to have some form of SMS program. The programs can be varied, large or small, complexed or simple depending on the business model or type of service provided. “So why should we have one” you may say? Well the main driver for most organizations is safety in all work or service activities and customers are paying just as much attention to safety as to the services provided. Establishing a safety program in your organization is a positive step to not only improving safety in the workplace but improves the overall quality of the organization and motivates its personnel to perform at a higher level. If your organization does not currently have a safety program but wants to find out if it would be beneficial to establish one contact Tech One for a consultation or advice on how to start the process.

IS-BAH Audits for Business Aviation Ground Support Agencies & FBO's

Tech One Aviation is now an IBAC accredited IS-BAH audit organization and is conducting IS-BAH Safety Audits on behalf of IBAC for business aviation ground handling agencies and FBO's. The IS-BAH audit is an in depth review of an organizations Safety Management System (SMS) and all aircraft ramp handling procedures including aircraft fueling, deicing, ramp safety, aircraft movement, the operation and maintenance of vehicles and ground support equipment. The main objective of the audit is to reduce accidents and aircraft damage incidents, the benefits being less injuries to personnel and a reduction in the insurance claims for damaged aircraft.

Manual Compostion

Tech One Aviation Consulting recently completed the composition of a General Maintenance Manual (GMM) for a Part 135 Operator which was required to be compliant with FAA Part 135 Regulations and IS-BAO Standards and Recommended Practices.

Composing FAA and IS-BAO compliant operational, technical and SMS manuals is time consuming and requires an in depth knowledge of the subject matter as well as layout, formatting and content. Generally Operators are consumed with just managing their flight and maintenance departments and have little time or resources to dedicate to this process.

Tech One can assist with this task and can offer competitive pricing.

FAA Approved or Accepted Manuals

It is now a requirement to comply with the Element Design Data Collection Tool (ED-DCT) when submitting a manual to the FAA for approval or acceptance. The ED-DCT consists of  multiple sections each containing a substantial number of questions that needed to be addressed in the manual, these questions are used by the FAA to evaluate newly submitted or re-issued manuals for approval or acceptance.

Tech one has recently recently reviewed and updated a general maintenance manual (GMM) for a client which included the ED-DCT listing. For guidance and information on this process please contact Tech One Aviation Consulting for further details.
